1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using js-obfuscator.net (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and js-obfuscator.net.

2. Description of Service

js-obfuscator.net provides a free, browser-based JavaScript code obfuscation tool. The Service processes code entirely client-side and is provided for legitimate software development purposes including, but not limited to, intellectual property protection, license enforcement, and code security.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the obfuscator. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the legal right to obfuscate the code you submit
  • The code you submit does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  • You will not use the Service to obfuscate malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any other malicious software
  • You will not use the Service to obfuscate code intended to deceive, defraud, or harm users
  • You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
  • You will not use automated tools to make excessive requests to the Service

4. Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create or distribute malicious code of any kind
  • Circumvent security measures of any system or application
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Distribute obfuscated code as a substitute for open-source licenses requiring source availability
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its infrastructure

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Code

You retain all ownership rights to the JavaScript code you submit to and receive from the Service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your code.

5.2 Our Service

The design, interface, branding, and content of js-obfuscator.net are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

5.3 Third-Party Engine

The obfuscation engine is based on the open-source javascript-obfuscator library, licensed under the BSD-2-Clause License. Attribution and licensing requirements of that library apply.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • The obfuscated output will be free of bugs or compatible with all environments
  • The obfuscation will prevent all unauthorized access or reverse engineering
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JS-OBFUSCATOR.NET, ITS OPERATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed USD $0, as the Service is provided free of charge.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless js-obfuscator.net and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

The Service integrates third-party services including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and js-obfuscator.net regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
